Saxofollia Quintet
Saxofollia feat. Jacopo Taddei

Jacopo Taddei and Saxofollia have embarked on a new and ambitious artistic project to bring the saxophone to an unusual musical world, creating innovative sounds and original expressive nuances.
They achieved this by using their sensitivity and mastery in replacing the clarinet with the saxophone contralto in Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart Quintet K. 581 in A Major and using the saxophone soprano of Jacopo Taddei in Domenico Cimarosa famous Concerto in C Minor, adapting the saxophones to reflect the orchestral string arrangement.
They also had a foray into the operatic world with a fantasy on some of the most famous arias taken from the works of Giacomo Puccini, the composer who first used the saxophone in an opera, calling it "the instrument that comes closest to the human voice." The Quartetto Saxofollia and Jacopo Taddei presented a unique and engaging experience, capable of moving the soul and exciting the most demanding listeners.
